Meet the Team

Nora Selinger – Director of School Counseling

Nora earned her B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies from Uconn and her M.S. in School and Professional Counseling from Central Connecticut State University.  Nora has worked as both a school guidance counselor and as a professional counselor. During her personal time, Nora enjoys spending time with her family.  She is an avid tennis player, skier, and runner!

Michael Andruchuve – School Psychologist

Mike completed his B.A. in Psychology and Anthropology and M.S. in School Psychology at the University of Rhode Island. Since 2012, he has worked as a school psychologist in Stonington Public Schools. Outside of work, he loves exploring the outdoors with his wife and two daughters.

Carrie Dentch – School Counselor

Carrie earned a B.S. in Human Development and Family Relations from UConn, her M.S in School Counseling and 6th Year degree in Educational Leadership both from Central Connecticut State University. Carrie has been a school counselor since 2004 and has been in Stonington since 2009. Outside of school she enjoys spending time with her family, being active and traveling. 

Melinda Georges – Mental Health Counselor

Melinda earned her B.A. in Psychology and Women Studies from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, her M.A. in School Counseling k-12 from New York University. Melinda has a colorful experience of working with people all ages. She started her career working with adults living with HIV/AIDS transitioning back into the workforce. She has worked in a hospital with adolescents, elementary school and middle school before settling in high school. Outside of school, Melinda enjoys spending time with her family including her fur baby Suki and traveling.

Jennifer Jordan – School Counselor

Jennifer earned a B.A. in Elementary Education/Mathematics from Boston College, a M.A. in Professional Studies of Middle School Education from Salem State College and a M.A. in School Counseling from Fairfield University.  She taught middle school math for 15 years and served as a long-term substitute school psychologist and a long-term substitute guidance counselor at Stonington High School.  Outside of work Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, and cheering for her kids from the sidelines.

Jennifer Solomon – School Counselor

Jen earned her B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies from UConn, her M.S in School Counseling from Providence College, and her 6th Year Professional Degree from Southern Connecticut State University. In addition to being a School Counselor, she enjoys spending time with her family and coaching.
